There are two key things I refuse to live without: Creativity, and animals. There are many others of course. I mean, friends and family are kind of a big deal. But there are dogs. So...

I've been writing for the best part of 25 years and, while I still have days, weeks and months where I wonder if it's all worth it - the answer always circles back with a very annoying, "Yes." As inconvenient as this yes may be for my lack of executive function and my desire simply to daydream my way to the end of a script, it persists. And that's just fine with me. Even though I have a new hobby every other week, and each takes its turn convincing me that this is the "new side hustle", they are all seductive liars, and they can kindly take a seat amongst the others. Writing, in that case, is my seductive truth.

My voice lives predominantly amongst softly comedic social dramas. If these stories can be sprinkled with Northeast accents and terraced streets, I know I'm home. And, on occasion, I'll throw in a dog, and perhaps a firm middle finger to the failures of the patriarchy.
